The Youth Service Program delivers a wide range of developmental activities focused on reading/ writing, math, science, language proficiency and comprehension. Special activities such as developmental assets, financial literacy, creative/ journal writing and sport teams offer opportunities for building friendships and learning new skills. Students will receive help daily with homework and additional tutoring in challenging subjects will also be available to those who need it. Field trips to local parks, libraries, arts and cultural organizations enhance classroom lessons and provide great natural learning opportunities.
YOUTH PROGRAM: 6-13 years old
The center offers services for 6 to 13 years old, Monday through Friday, Participants receive:
- Group Sessions
- Prevention Individual Sessions
- Help with homework daily
- Tutoring as needed
- Opportunity to learn and acquire new life/social skills
- Meet new friends and broaden their horizons.
- Enrichment Activities.
The youth program for ages 6 to 13 will offer activities for youth that are designed to enhance their successful social, educational and personal development. Educational support activities are aligned with the FCIS (Florida Council of Independent School) to help all students achieve academic success. The youth and summer programs are the ideal solution for families seeking high quality, safe, drug free and structured environment to increase life/social skills and peer-bonding alternatives for their children.
Delivered by trained prevention youth workers in familiar neighborhood settings, our programs offer a balanced mix of academic support, health and wellness, recreation, arts and cultural experiences for elementary, middle and high school students. We will operate year round to meet the needs of working parents.
YOUTH PROGRAM: 14 – 17 years old
The youth program for ages 14 to 17 offers year round leadership opportunities for pre-teen and adolescents. Students are grouped with peers and explore an asset-rich curriculum that includes self-assessment tools, leadership and character building, service learning projects and academic support that promotes achievement and goal setting. Weekly lesson plans deliver the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through health and nutrition, substance abuse prevention and abstinence education.
COVID-19 Tutoring
Our new remote academic tutoring was designed to help K-12 students compensate for the time loss during the COVID-19 pandemic.The program will run as long as families show interest.
